SYKES is committed to creating a secure environment for the storage of assets / information incorporating the transfer of data and achieved full accreditation to the BS ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Information Security Management System in October 2009.

In the administration of the Information Security Strategy SYKES will ensure:

  • The secure transfer and storage of all data held within the control of Sykes Galashiels;
  • The secure storage of all physical equipment under the control of Sykes Galashiels;
  • The implementation and Integration where possible of associated standards in conjunction with our clients requirements;
  • Emphasis on increased Client and Customer satisfaction;
  • Focus on listening to our customers and being responsive in identifying, understanding and as a minimum meeting their needs and expectations;
  • The use of Objective measurement processes/equipment and analysis;
  • Continuously improving our processes to meet legislation, regulations and relevant Codes of Practice applicable to our business and Business strategy;
  • Provide Sykes employees with training in appropriate technologies/ processes and team skills;
  • The continuation of business controls and accreditation principles even if Business Continuity Plans need to be invoked

To ensure the suitability of the SYKES' corporate commitment to Security Information the strategy is reviewed on an on-going annual basis. The purpose of the review is to determine that each listed point within the Strategy is achievable, quantifiable and reflective of our own business requirements and those of our Clients.
