• Major sponsor of the Crucial Crew - an annual event run by the Lothian & Borders Police to teach Primary 7 school kids about road safety, fire safety, electrical safety, drug & alcohol, dangers of rivers etc.
• Major Sponsors of "Safe T" - a similar event to the crucial crew run in conjunction by the Lothian & Borders Police and Scottish Border Council but aimed at 5th Year pupils from the Regions Secondary Schools.
• A Main Sponsor of the 125th Melrose 7s Rugby Tournament.
• Major Sponsor for the Border Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) awards 2007, which helps to promote business excellence to Secondary School Pupils
• We sponsor categories in the Scottish Borders New Ways Business awards.
• Hold various internal fund raising events to raise money for local charities. In 2008 all money collected will go to the Borders General Hospital.
• SYKES also sponsors and provides funding contributions to many local activities including; golf club competitions, small sports organisations and local festival events such as the Braw Lads Gathering Swimming Gala and Melrose Amateur Operatic Society.
